When will IDLS2024 take place?

IDLS2024 will take place from Wednesday 4th December to Friday 6th December 2024. The IDLSoc Training Day will be held on Tuesday 3rd December 2024.

Where will IDLS2024 take place?

IDLS2024 will be held at the Estoril Congress Center (Centro de Congressos do Estoril) in Cascais, Portugal.

When can I register?

Registration will open in May 2024.

Do I need to be a member of the International Data Links Society to attend IDLS2024?

Yes. If you are not yet a member or need to renew your membership, you will be able to do so at the same time as booking to attend IDLS2024. Alternatively, you can apply for IDLSoc Membership or renew at www.idlsocweb.org.

Which ticket types are available?

Delegates can purchase a Standard Government or Industry ticket to gain access to the whole event. One Day Government and Industry tickets are also available and will go on sale six weeks prior to the event.

Do I need to bring ID?

Yes, please bring the identification document that you used to register for the event. All identification needs to be government-issued and in date. For example, Passport, Driving Licence, National ID Cards, Military or Government Agency ID.

What is included in the ticket price?

Industry and Government tickets give you access to all keynotes, demonstrations, sessions, exhibition showcase, panel sessions, and the social event. The ticket price covers food and drinks during the conference, exhibition showcase, and social event.

What food is provided during the conference?

All delegates are provided with morning refreshments, drinks, and snacks during the morning coffee and afternoon tea breaks, and a buffet lunch. Food is provided at the social event on Thursday 5th December.

Is accommodation included in the ticket price?

No, you must arrange your own accommodation. We have negotiated a preferential deal with two hotels; for more information, visit the accommodation page.

When will I receive my delegate badge?

Delegate badges will be ready to collect from the registration desk during the event. Badges can also be collected at the pre-registration event on Tuesday 3rd December 2024.


What is the nearest airport?

What is the nearest train station?

The closest train station to the Estoril Congress Center and event hotels is Estoril Station (Estação Estoril).

How do I get to Estoril Congress Center?

Estoril Congress Center is easy to reach via public transport. More information is available on the Visas & Travel page. page and in the Guide to Cascais.

Do I need to hire a car?

There are many hotels within easy walking distance of the venue and they are well-connected to the public transport system. There are direct trains to Lisbon from Estoril Station, which is a 5-minute walk from the venue. Please note, roads in the Cascais and Lisbon area can get congested. We advise not getting a car unless you plan to travel outside of the Cascais/Lisbon area.

Is there onsite parking at the venue?

Yes, Estoril Congress Centre has an underground car park.

Is there a prayer room?

Yes, there will be a dedicated prayer room.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.
