Yes. If you are not yet a member or need to renew your membership, you will be able to do so at the same time as booking to attend IDLS2024. Alternatively, you can apply for IDLSoc Membership or renew at www.idlsocweb.org.
Delegates can purchase a Standard Government or Industry ticket to gain access to the whole event. One Day Government and Industry tickets are also available and will go on sale six weeks prior to the event.
Yes, please bring the identification document that you used to register for the event. All identification needs to be government-issued and in date. For example, Passport, Driving Licence, National ID Cards, Military or Government Agency ID.
Industry and Government tickets give you access to all keynotes, demonstrations, sessions, exhibition showcase, panel sessions, and the social event. The ticket price covers food and drinks during the conference, exhibition showcase, and social event.
All delegates are provided with morning refreshments, drinks, and snacks during the morning coffee and afternoon tea breaks, and a buffet lunch. Food is provided at the social event on Thursday 5th December.
No, you must arrange your own accommodation. We have negotiated a preferential deal with two hotels; for more information, visit the accommodation page.
Delegate badges will be ready to collect from the registration desk during the event. Badges can also be collected at the pre-registration event on Tuesday 3rd December 2024.

There are many hotels within easy walking distance of the venue and they are well-connected to the public transport system. There are direct trains to Lisbon from Estoril Station, which is a 5-minute walk from the venue. Please note, roads in the Cascais and Lisbon area can get congested. We advise not getting a car unless you plan to travel outside of the Cascais/Lisbon area.
