Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport is the main international gateway to Portugal and is situated only 25km away from Cascais. Lisbon Airport is served by over 50 airlines with 132 destinations.
Get the metro from the airport to Cais do Sodré Rail Station followed by a mainline train towards Cascais. Trains depart every 20 minutes during the day.The closest train station to Estoril Congress Center and Palácio Estoril Hotel is Estoril Train Station, which is a 10-minute walk away.
City buses stop at the airport arrivals terminal and connect to central Lisbon. The best way to get to Cascais from central Lisbon is by train from Cais do Sodré Rail Station. Please note, city buses have a maximum luggage size of 50 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm. Travelers with larger luggage must take the aerobus or airport shuttle.
Aerobuses prepared for traveling with large luggage are available at Terminals 1 and 2 between 07:30 and 23:00. The Aerobus connects the airport with a number of major destinations in the downtown Lisbon area, including the Sete Rios bus and train terminal, and Entrecampos, Cais do Sodré, and Rossio railway terminals. Buses have access for those with reduced mobility, and offer free Wi-Fi and USB chargers.
Lisbon city taxis are readily available 24 hours a day outside the arrival and departure areas of the airport. A trip to Cascais by taxi takes approximately 1 hour. Uber and Bolt operate in Lisbon, we recommend downloading the app before arriving at Lisbon Airport.
The airport is easily accessible by several major highways and main roads. There are several car hire companies available at Lisbon Airport. An underground car park is available at the Estoril Congress Center and at the Palácio Estoril Hotel.
Trains to all parts of the country are available at Gare do Oriente station, the main train station in Lisbon. Gare Do Oriente Station includes a subway station on the Linha Vermelha (Red Line)
