The training session will provide a comprehensive description of recent additions and advancements in the world of Link 16, to include a deep-dive on Baseline Upgrade-2 (BU2) and JTRS related Link 16 capabilities (i.e., CMN-4). There will be an extensive explanation on Link 16 Enhanced Throughput (LET) and all of the technical process that increases time slot capacity from 12 to 123 words. The training will also contain an introduction to Link 16 Network Enabled Weapons, and a detailed explanation of Link 16 in Space. Following the training agenda below, we will open up the floor to a noholds- barred Link 16 question and answer session. Students will be encouraged to show up with questions about topics that they don’t understand, or just want explained in greater detail. Questions that are received at least one-week in advance will include detailed answers built into the training. The training will conclude with the chance for the students to try and stump the instructor. There will be a prize for anyone that can stump the instructor with a Link 16 reference-based question. If the instructor is stumped by more than one students, their names will be drawn from a hat to see who wins the prize.
